Getting Around

und

Although we enjoy the tranquility and slower pace of life that comes with being off the beaten track, we are easy to find and can be reached with public transport if you don’t mind a little walk!

  • Train:

    • The nearest train station is in Wool, about three miles from the house. South West Trains run direct routes to London, with lots of stops along the way, including Southampton. Occasionally, we may be able to pick guests up from the station (at no charge) - if necessary, please inquire.

  • Bus:

    • There is a bus stop close to the house that takes you into Dorchester and Weymouth and other surrounding towns.

  • Taxi:

    • There are several taxi companies out of Wool which can take you too and from the train station and into Dorchester and Weymouth, and should ideally be reserved in advance, especially late at night.

  • Parking:

    • We have plenty of parking.

We are about 2.3 hours southwest of London.

Marley House Bed and Breakfast is approximately 11 miles from Weymouth, which is a seaside town, situated on a sheltered bay at the mouth of the River Wey on the English Channel coast. It is because of its bay that Weymouth hosted the 2012 Olympic sailing and water sports. Weymouth is a vibrant market town, with a gorgeous, historic harbour, lovely restaurants and plenty of shopping.

We are only a couple of miles from the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can picnic on the beach or walk for hours along the coastline (www.southwestcoastpath.org.uk).
